A database of records and bird counts since the nineteenth century is updated regularly. This includes recently discovered records from the 1930s and 1940s and unpublished winter bird counts from the 1970s to 1990s.

The Checklist of the Birds of North Bull Island is updated regularly. This checklist has been maintained annually since 1977 and includes a complete review of previous lists.
