The status of Ringed Plover at North Bull Island, Dublin Bay

Ringed Plovers were a regular nesting species at North Bull Island National Nature Reserve since the nineteenth century. The last recorded nesting was in 2002. Peak counts of non-breeding populations in the September to March period show a statistically significant decline in the period 1970 to 2015. This paper will document the decline of this species at this coastal wetland.
